Frequently asked
How do I play?
Drag anywhere on the screen to fly: your ship eases toward your finger and fires automatically while you hold. Lift your finger and the action eases into slow motion so you can line up your next move, or tap a Smart Bomb or the Seeker Swarm from your stash. Survive the wave, then push on to the next sector.
How are high scores saved?
The leaderboards and achievements are Apple's Game Center. Once you're signed in, every run goes up automatically under your Game Center name: your campaign total for each difficulty (the sum of your best score on every level), your best Endless run, the fastest clear of each boss on Medium or Hard, and the Daily Run and Weekly Grudge. Open SCORES to see everyone, or just your Game Center friends. Not signed in? The game keeps your bests on your device and sends them to Game Center as soon as you sign in.
How do I sign in to Game Center?
The game offers Game Center sign-in on the menu, or tap SIGN IN TO GAME CENTER on the SCORES screen. If no sign-in sheet appears, open the Settings app, tap Game Center, sign in, and come back to the game. That's also where you change the nickname other players see, or choose who can see your profile. Game Center is optional: the whole game works without it.
What's my callsign for?
Your callsign is what the bosses call you when they taunt you. Set it in Settings. It never leaves your device, and it isn't shown on any leaderboard. Leave it blank and the bosses use your Game Center name, or call you PILOT.
How do I turn sound, music, or haptics on or off?
Open Settings or the Pause menu and toggle Sound, Music, and Haptics. Your choices are remembered for next time.
The game feels slow or choppy.
Early iOS 26.0 builds had a known SpriteKit frame-rate issue. Updating your device to iOS 26.2 or later resolves it. Closing other apps in the background can also help on older devices.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. Galactic Grudge is universal and runs on both iPhone and iPad.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No. There are no ads interrupting your run and nothing to buy: just the game.
What happened to the browser version?
It's retired. The game lives on iPhone and iPad now, with everything the browser version never had: six rebuilt bosses with long memories, the Daily Run, the Weekly Grudge and Game Center. Old /play links bring you to the home page. To have an old web leaderboard entry removed, email us with the callsign and score.
It used to be called Aliens Incoming.
Same game, new name. Aliens Incoming became Galactic Grudge in version 2.0, because the bosses never forget. Your progress carries over.
Data & privacy
Galactic Grudge has no accounts, no tracking and no advertising. The iPhone and iPad app sends nothing to us. If you sign in to Game Center, your scores and achievements go to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center name, covered by Apple's privacy policy. Your progress can sync between your devices through your own iCloud account, which we never see.
Prefer not to appear on a leaderboard? Stay signed out of Game Center, or limit who sees your profile in the Settings app under Game Center. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
